Signing of a "Letter of Intent" between SUM and the Silesian Voivodeship on the establishment of a medical faculty branch in Bielsko-Biała !
On the part of the Marshal's Office, the letter was signed by Vice-Marshals Anna Jedynak and Łukasz Czopik, while the University was represented by Prof. Edward Wylęgała, Vice-Rector for Development and Technology Transfer, and Prof. Jerzy Stojko, Vice-Rector for Studies and Students.
As specified by the parties, the establishment of the branch is part of the Development Strategy of the Silesian Voivodeship "Silesia 2030". The development of education in the medical professions with the current shortage of staff is one of the priorities for the provincial authorities.
Within the framework of the cooperation, the Parties agreed to undertake factual and legal actions aimed at establishing a branch in Bielsko-Biala, and to provide access to medical entities, including the Provincial Hospital in Bielsko-Biala and the Silesian Center for Rheumatology, Orthopedics and Rehabilitation in Ustroń.
